Adventures in Recycling: A New Tote!

I’ve wanted to get a new purse/bag/tote for quite some time now. I hate the one I have because it doesn’t have a shoulder strap, and I don’t see designers making women’s pants practical anytime soon (otherwise, I’d just put everything in my pockets), so I am past due for a new one.

I still have some of my old clothing that I wore in high school, which I haven’t touched in years! So, why not make a bag from scratch using what I have instead of paying for a new one that could potentially turn out to be a dud?

~~~
I wore this handsome skirt with combat boots loud and proud. I thought I was the toughest and coolest pretend soldier the world had ever seen. Ah, the memories! I waltzed around in this during my Sophomore and Junior years, I believe.
Snip, snip!
I drew my pattern onto the skirt with chalk. The pattern is on that sheet of paper.
Inside out
The bag is perfect for sneaking your action figures around town. I mean we all need company, right?
I couldn't resist! I think they are a nice touch.
You are a great seamstress! :) Glad you can carry your Star Trek figures with you every where you go now!
