On My Lapel Cute Cthulhu Waits Dreaming
Cute Cthulhu makes His appearance on none other than the Master of Horror’s birthday himself! Born August 20, 1890, H.P. Lovecraft would be 119 years of age today were he still walking amongst the living.

It seems that Cthulhu is quite popular already with those of the monster sort. Look who I saw wearing him this morning!

While I was repainting Cute Cthulhu (I had thought I ruined him when I painted a coat of varnish over it – Do NOT outline your artwork with ink if you are going to use varnish; the ink will bleed over the painting), I was inspired to make another button/pin!

I made this one out of a star shape. I sawed two of the points off of it with the small saw blade on my leatherman and filed the abrasions down to make the edges smooth and fit with the rest of the shape.

When I was finished painting it, I let it dry and put a coat of clear gold nail polish over it to give the pin a slight sparkly shine.

The (c) is for the photographs only. I do not own Cthulhu or Star Trek.
